Ready On Day One To Be The New Sinbad

In recent days Hillary Clinton has been going around campaigning for John McCain herself on grounds that the most experienced candidate will make the best president. The Chicago Tribune did a quick check on some of her experience on foreign affairs and found a record of achievement:

[H]er mission to Bosnia was a one-day visit in which she was accompanied by performers Sheryl Crow and Sinbad, as well as her daughter, Chelsea, according to the commanding general who hosted her.
You want a candidate who is tested and ready, you say? Hillary Clinton has worked at Sinbad's side! If the phone rings at 3am and the world needs a shitty, tame, quasi-humorous quip about race relations, she has a reservoir of personal experience from which to draw.

She has proven experience joining USO goodwill tours with members of her own family and mid-shelf celebrities. I say that with apologies to Sheryl Crow, who deserves better than to be mentioned, even tangentially, in this idiotic garbage.

Why, again, did Clinton raise this line of argument? Can she be this astonishingly stupid?

Should Clinton's heroic efforts succeed in putting John McCain in the White House, he should appoint her The New Sinbad.

I believe the idea behind this was to somehow count her time as First Lady(should that be capitalized?) as "experience", which brings to mind a comment from a Kos commenter that I read earlier today on Andrew Sullivan's blog,"Saying that Hillary has Executive Branch experience is like saying Yoko Ono was a Beatle"

Wow, yes. The Yoko comparison has some bite to it. I like.
