Rush [Hearts] Hillary

Would anyone be truly surprised if Rush Limbaugh made the difference for Clinton in Texas and Ohio yesterday? David Weigel has some revealing numbers, including these:

Clinton won the Texas primary by about 98,000 votes out of 2.8 million cast. If the exits are right, about 252,000 of those voters were Republicans, and about 618,000 were conservatives.
If I were a fan of Rush Limbaugh, I would have voted for Clinton without hesitation. Hillary Clinton is like heroin to fans of Rush Limbaugh and Limbaugh himself -- or I guess I should say oxycontin rather than heroin. And of course, they would much rather face Hillary Clinton in the general election.

The good news for Obama, which should be seen as good news for all Democrats: the upcoming Pennsylvania primary is closed, meaning Republicans will not be able to game the system ... unless they re-register as Democrats.
