But What Does He Really Think?

Here's Christopher Hitchens with characteristic reserve:

... Sen. Clinton now has the obscene urge to claim the raped and slaughtered people of Bosnia as if their misery and death were somehow to be credited to her account! Words begin to fail one at this point. Is there no such thing as shame? Is there no decency at last? Let the memory of the truth, and the exposure of the lie, at least make us resolve that no Clinton ever sees the inside of the White House again.
It's no April Fool to label this "characteristic reserve" -- this is how Hitchens writes. The text quoted above falls short of the harshest words in the column.

I think I read him to say he won't be voting for Clinton.

It IS outrageous, and I'm glad he calls her on it. This is a good example of how unsuitable she is for restoring (if in fact, it can be done, the U.S.'s reputation around the world.

But if it can be done, of the possible candidates right now, I don't see anyone but Obama.

True, Laura. On top of what you've said, the *last* thing we need is another president who can't admit to mistakes, can't tell the simple truth if it means even a slight embarrassment, and believes she/he can will an alternate reality into existence with bullying or simple repetition. These are traits I would like to see strongly repudiated, not continued for another four years.
