Of Cheese and Wagon Wheels

Back in my day, creepy public service cartoons taught us how to eat. These videos are seared deeply into my thoughts -- for example, the cheese / wagon wheel connection will never be broken so long as I am a continuing consciousness.

Ah yes, a few of my old faves as well! Great find, Dale! I think they need to start playing these again, they serve as good reminders.

The one I shall never forget is "Don't drown your food!"

Ha! I remember those incredibly nerve wracking ads. I also remember the old "Okay kids! If you hear the nuclear alarm sirens going off just duck under your ten pound wooden desk and the indiscriminatory blast that flattens anything in its path will pass by without you even noticing!"

I'd rather eat a carrot.

Or a peanut butter sandwich any time of day's a treat! Thanks for this post.

Ha! I haven't seen these in a couple of decades! Hanker for a hunk of cheese is now stuck in my head. For some reason I really like cartoon food...

I haven't played these videos since I posted this and yet parts of them are still playing in my head.

Ouch.
