RIP Studs Terkel

I have little to add to the many comments made upon the recent passing of Studs Terkel, e.g., LA Times, Francis Sedgemore, and Obscene Desserts.

To say he contained multitudes seems like an understatement; he had a gift for converting the everyday and prosaic into the fascinating and heroic. Something of this is captured in rebroadcasts of some of his radio work contained in nice remembrances on Fresh Air and in Episode 368 of This American Life.
