Ah yes, a fond childhood memory. Although the content was just about as different as possible,in many ways the structure of the show was quite similar to Laugh-In.
Hee Haw was also prescient in some ways; check out any Junior Sample sketch and tell me George W. Bush doesn't come to mind.
