Time Not Squandered: A Day on Mount Hood

As this was the view out the window as I awoke this morning, every future morning stands every chance of disappointing me. This is how the world looks from a little short of 7000 feet up Mount Hood.

Here is how Mount Hood looked this afternoon, a couple of thousand feet lower.

For those who know Timberline Lodge mainly because the Hood to Coast relay begins there, this is how the main entrance looks when the melting has barely started and the parking lot is not crawling with several thousand excited runners.

twoblue, It was snowy, but not really so cold after the wind died down.
