When Podcasts Vanish: Point of Inquiry

What happened to the Point of Inquiry podcast? The last episode, now several weeks old, featured host DJ Grothe's discussion with physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and it was what we once expected from this podcast: interesting thinkers on interesting topics, delivered once weekly.

Of late, we've come to expect considerably less. The podcasts are few and follow no clear schedule, and apart from mention of technical difficulties experienced in January, there is no explanation from the producers.

Where is PoI now? What is its status? It's not too much to expect an explanation.

I agree with you. It's a wondeful, well produced, and what I think is one of the best podcasts out there for skeptics/freethinkers. And it's free...but I can't help but be disappointed that we've been left hanging with no explanation. Based on the fact the the interview dates seem to be a week apart, it seems like they are ongoing, but the podcats have been intermittent...

Mtnmann, it is strange. As at least one observer at their forums asked (without getting an answer as of the last I checked): we free-inquiry types are generally inclined to accept hard truths and unwelcome answers -- or we should be if we're doing it right. So if the podcast is kaput, or changing its schedule, or needs more money to continue, or whatever, I don't see why they can't just say so.

Voila - and we have our new POI podcast...even the interview was a month old.

I miss it. No other podcast really comes close, maybe ricky gervais...

Perhaps we should all leave emails inquiring where inquiry has gone? I did.
