Salt Lake City's New Ground Zero

Justice will be served if the site of this god-drunk thuggery becomes the focal point and "ground zero" of a new flowering of vocal, colorful, lively pro-gay activism in the Salt Lake City area, because obviously these tie-wearing cretins are too easily shocked by quiet, discreet displays of people in love:

Yep, these hidebound losers are too easily shocked. They need to see that there's a big and varied world out there, one that goes well beyond the risible fabrications of Joseph Smith.

I wonder what those kids were doing? Whatever it was I'm sure the result would have been the same no matter who's private property they were on... I know a couple of guys that were arrested in San Fran, of all places, and they charged them with public indecency.

I don't know what they were doing; I know what I saw. What I saw didn't justify handcuffs wielded by private thugs. Why are private thugs carrying handcuffs and detaining people with them? That's not OK. That must be justified. If they did something more than was seen here, it needs to be explained.

Simply put, this exercise of power must be justified. Until and unless it is justified, I consider it absolutely unacceptable.

Perhaps there are justifications available; they need to be articulated. We're a long, long way from that.

That this happened on private property (if it did) and/or that something similar might have happened in San Francisco at some time is barely a start toward justifying this use of coercive force.
