This very recent image of Puddle-Town's Steel Bridge, known and traversed by every runner and cyclist who frequents the downtown area, shows the crystal-clear Willamette River getting just a little too close to flood status. Eastbank Esplanade --- a view of the floating dock section, which under normal conditions bends down and then back up to form a brief but substantial metal hill. Today shows it at almost level with the surface of the water.
Calm down, dear river. We have heard your rage and, well, we can't do a thing about it.
